Do you ever feel like your life is just going by and you're not in control? I get it, I’ve been there plenty of times myself.

The truth is, you deserve to be happy. You deserve to live a life that's fulfilling and meaningful. But sometimes, we get stuck in the same patterns of self-sabotage over and over again without even realizing it. We don't have to live this way! 

There are simple ways for us to break free from our old habits so we can finally start living the lives we want. And it all starts with taking action because in order to change our state we must change our physiology.

Here’s a powerful formula that will show you how to stop self sabotage before it starts with 3 simple steps: 

1) Identify what's holding you back - one of the best methods for this is to get in a quiet place (in nature when possible) and just listen to your inner voice and journal whatever comes up.

2) Find out why - you probably guessed, more journaling here to go deeper into self discovery and uncover what old beliefs are driving your behavior. 

3) Change your mindset about yourself - write out a positive affirmation that describes the new you that you are being and speak this out loud to yourself through the day. Make a commitment and hold yourself accountable to practicing this exercise for seven days straight. You can even set alarms on your phone with the affirmation as the label to remind you different intervals throughout the day. Affirmation example: I am strong, courageous, and confident and I will overcome and grow from every obstacle that enters my path.

The bottom line here is that in order for any of this to work you absolutely must take action now! And even though this can be difficult when feelings of overwhelm or defeat try to creep in.
